PAST
elishéva was born in Paris, France, grew up in Tahiti, French Polynesia before moving to Los Angeles, California in 2008. She started singing as a freshman vocalist in her high school choir. It wasn’t until her senior year of high school that she started voice lessons that would later introduce her to jazz. elishéva started finding her own sound by exploring the jazz and pop genres, and by listening to more music than she could handle. Chasing the thrill of a career in the music industry, she was inspired to pursue performance after high school. Instead of following the medical path all of her family members took, elishéva auditioned for the Berklee College of Music and was accepted in 2018. During her years at Berklee, she performed in the Downbeat award-winning groups Point of Departure & the Advanced Vocal Jazz Ensemble led by Ned Rosenblatt, with Dee Dee Bridgewater, for Chaka Khan, and in many performances with her fellow artists at Berklee.
